Nottingham Forest wonderkid set to make Elland Road switch

In recent days there’s been plenty of talk about Leeds United signing youngsters who could very well bolster their Under 23s whilst the Whites look to the future. But the Whites now have their eye on a youngster who not only has a big future but could be an asset in the present.

Recent reports claim that United are stepping up their interest in Nottingham Forest wonderkid Brennan Johnson. The 20-year-old forward is one of the most highly sought-after youngsters around this summer with Premier League rivals Leicester City also eyeing up a move for the Welsh international.

With bags of pace with the ability to both score and create, he could very well be the ideal player for Marcelo Bielsa as he looks to add depth to his squad ahead of the coming season.

Last term, whilst on loan at Lincoln City, he fired the League One club to the play-off final with his 10 goals and 12 assists as he proved to be one of their most important players.

Forest will be reluctant to let him leave so, especially with interest from Leicester also stepping up, it may be difficult for Leeds to secure the move. However, they’ve taken the first steps and if they act fast Johnson may well be wearing the white of Leeds United next season.
