OFFICIAL: Leeds United have been relegated from the Premier League

Leeds United have been officially relegated from the Premier League.

After narrowly escaping relegation last season under Jesse Marsch, the club started this season full of promise. Results against Chelsea and Wolves gave fans optimism. Leeds won three out of their first four games.

But then the club went on a horrid run of games, wining just two league games between September and December 2022. Jesse Marsch was sacked in early 2022 with Javi Gracia taking charge in February. The Spaniard only managed three wins, and was sacked and quickly replace with Sam Allardyce.

Big Sam had the tough task of securing survival with four games to go; he ended up failing to win a single game. Results elsewhere on the final matchday of the weekend confirmed Leeds’ fate.

The club’s season ended with a 4-1 thumping at the hands of Tottenham infront of Elland Road.
