Friday is set to be a key day in the promotion race. Burnley and Leeds United are level on points heading into the fixtures, with the two automatic promotion places still up for grabs.
Sheffield United are five points behind and are almost certainly set for the Championship play-offs, but with four games left, anything can happen. Chris Wilder believes that the Blades’ season is not over yet, and that there is still a small chance.
If Leeds keep their nerve and get a result away to Oxford United on Friday, they only have to hope other results go their way.

Daniel Farke’s men should not underestimate the U’s on Friday. Gary Rowett’s side have recorded huge victories over Sheffield United, Sheffield Wednesday and Watford over the last month. Oxford United’s home form has been surprisingly good this season, and this could play a huge part for the game
Midfielder Tyler Goodrham has insisted that Leeds are beatable:
“They’re a really good side. They get loads of bodies forward, and they’re very aggressive and front-footed, but we also know they can be beaten.
“You see Pompey beat them, and other teams, so they’re definitely there for the taking. It’s just a matter of us stepping up and taking that opportunity.”
The U’s could be without captain Elliott Moore, and defender Hedde Ter Avest for Friday night’s game.
Leeds have a peculiar away form problem
Despite having the third best away record in the Championship, Leeds United’s away form has not been the best this season. Daniel Farke’s men tend to struggle against sides near the bottom of the table, but they tend to beat teams near the top of the table.

Before beating Middlesbrough, the Whites had dropped points in three straight games to sides lower down the table. Leeds lost to Portsmouth, drew with QPR and were held by Luton Town.
Portsmouth were in 17th, QPR were 14th and Luton Town sat in 23rd place.
