Leeds United have been braced for a Patrick Bamford exit over the past few months. The striker has heavily been linked with a move to Wrexham.
Leeds have been promoted to the Premier League, and Wrexham have made it into the Championship. The American owned club are set to continue their ambitions to make it to the English top flight. Wrexham, owned by Americans worth over £300M, started their journey a few years ago and have now been promoted in back to back seasons.
They have been unafraid to spend to boost the quality of their teams. They often buy players from the division above – they bought a bunch of players from League One sides when they were in League Two.

Now it looks like they will continue their transfer policy in the Championship. The club have already lined up Fulham star Tom Cairney to kick start their spending this summer.
On the Patrick Bamford front, an interesting development has come to light. Wrexham executive director Humphrey Ker was asked some questions on The Chris Moyles Show on Radio X this week, including one about a potential move for Bamford.
Moyles asked: “Jamie Vardy?” Kerr replied, “No”. Moyles continued: “Patrick Bamford?”, resulting in the same reply from Ker: “No. I will stop doing this because you might say someone I have to say …yes.
Ker continued: “Wrexham generates clicks and we’re getting linked with absolutely everybody. One of the most fun things about being a fan is speculating transfers. I don’t want to crush everyone’s good time.”
What happens to Bamford this summer?
This is the question on every Leeds United fan’s mind. It is clear that Daniel Farke cannot rely on the veteran next season. And with the Premier League next season, all signs point to the club signing a new striker.
The most likely resolution is an exit from the club, considering the wages he is on. Leeds could sell Patrick Bamford this summer if an offer arrives.
