Former Leeds United striker Patrick Bamford is closing in on sorting out his post-Elland Road future, and is on the cusp of finalising his free transfer move to a new club.
The 32-year-old striker left Leeds under acrimonious circumstances towards the end of the transfer window. He was isolated from the first-team squad and made to train with the Under-21s as Daniel Farke had decided very early in the summer that Bamford would not be part of his plans.
However, it took almost the entire summer to sort out his future as Leeds didn’t receive any notable offers for him in the transfer window. The club ultimately decided to pay off his contract and let him leave the club as a free agent.
Bamford was not happy with the way he was pushed out of Leeds, but the striker is now on the verge of finalising his new club in La Liga in the coming days.
