Ex-Leeds player Paul Robinson believes there are unrealistic expectations on Daniel Farke this season.
The German coach was appointed on a four-year deal earlier this month, as Leeds seek to bounce back to the Premier League. However, former England goalkeeper believes that the expectations placed on Farke during his appointment may be too much.
Paul Robinson was speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds News:
“If they’re anywhere near 14th by Christmas, I think there will be a change in manager. He knows that he’s signing for a very big football club with huge expectations of being in the Premier League, and 14th for Leeds United is not good enough and unacceptable.
“If that’s where he is, I think he will find himself back at the Job Centre again! For him, he’s taken on a huge role, a massive challenge. But he obviously knows what comes with that and the expectation.
State the obvious why don’t you?
Paul Robinson, has this bloke got anything positive to say about our club.
He left Leeds when we had financial difficulties for a lot less tha expected, after he negotiated a £1.5m deal with Spurs.
I predict Paul Robinson will continue to eat plenty of donuts this season.
I have no idea how Robinson ever got a job as pundit or a voice concerning Leeds United. He obviously has an axe to grind for some reason with the club. Most of his posts are detrimental and fly against the popular opinion of the fans. He is obviously making a good living, along with Danny Mills, in berating the club as often as possible. I for one am sick of it. Go back and comment on your beloved Spurs fella because nobody take any notice of you at Leeds. You know nowt
What a ridiculous statement by Robinson. Attention seeking, or just noise for the sake of making noise, but either way typical of the low standard of clueless punditry that we are blessed with in this country. If MOT Leeds news are paying him for ‘exclusives’ like that, they really should sever all ties with him. Stating the obvious is one thing, but to do it without a ball being kicked in the current season, and doing so with malice aforethought, is quite another. For the record I like Farke. I think he is perfect for us at this time and his style will suit these players. We will have attacking intent, discipline and organization, and a real system in place, a completely contrast to the total incompetence of Jesse Marsch. Any Leeds fan would surely welcome that, I know I do, but Robinson is hardly a ‘fan’ given the way… Read more »
I predict that Paul Robinson will continue with his biased diatribe against his former club, the club who developed him into the gk he became … second, or third rate compared to the keeper he deposed, Nigel Martyn, with the help of Terry Venables, who probably, was implicated in his move to their beloved Tottenham …
If this site really want to be known for honest, unbiased reporting on the clubs activities, Robinson simply has to go, along with all the other leeches.
Is there a contest to see who can be more negative about Leeds; Robinson, or Agbonlahor?
