Leeds United were hard done by earlier today when they failed to get anything from their game against Tottenham at Elland Road. The home side dominated the game, but were on the receiving end of a 2-1 defeat.
Daniel Farke’s men dominated Tottenham at home today, and they created enough chances to win the game. However, Spurs latched on to their opportunities and escaped with all three points.
Thomas Frank tried to put a positive spin on their performance and claimed that his side controlled the game. However, it was clear from what everyone saw that the away team was barely holding on to their lead at the end.
Leeds deserved to get something from the game, but they may have to blame themselves for not making the most of the opportunities they created against Tottenham.
It’s hard but Dominic Calvert-Lewin cost Leeds the game against Tottenham – Peter Crouch

Peter Crouch was happy with the performance level of the Leeds United striker and pointed out that he is doing a very good job of creating and setting up others.
However, he stressed that he missed his own chances today, which the striker should have buried, and it played a big part in costing the home side the game.
“I look at Calvert-Lewin today, and what he is really good at is bringing others into the game and linking up with his teammates”, Crouch said on TNT Sports.
“He creates chances for those around him and also gets himself in great positions to score goals.
“But you look at some of those chances today, there is one of them where he has to take it and get that goal.
“In the end, as harsh as it is, it’s probably cost them the game, but he will always cause problems to defenders, and I’m sure the goals will come.”
Calvert-Lewin has looked good in the number 9 role this season, but has scored just once and has been guilty of missing chances in the last few fixtures.
Calvert-Lewin is being backed to score more goals
Former Premier League winner Joe Hart believes Leeds are still a very good fit for Calvert-Lewin and what he needs at this stage of his career.
He stressed if he remains fit, the former Everton striker will score goals for the Whites and with the backing of the Elland Road faithful, he will thrive in a Leeds shirt.
Hart added: “I was really interested to see where he would end up, and I think being here at Leeds is a really good fit for him.
“He will score goals if you can keep him fit, and I think at this club, with these fans behind him, he’s going to really thrive here when he turns those chances into goals.”
