Premier League club win race for Leeds’ Crysencio Summerville replacement

Ipswich Town beats Leeds United to Ryan Kent

Newly promoted Ipswich Town have beaten Leeds United to Fenerbahçe winger Ryan Kent. The Whites had shown interest in the winger in the hopes of replacing the departing Crysencio Summerville.

The West Yorkshire outfit has seen many top players leave Elland Road this summer. This is because the club failed to win a promotion last season.

After getting relegated in the 2022/23 season, The 49ers were keen on getting back into the Premier League next season. Although Leeds didn’t secure a direct promotion, they did win a place in the promotion playoffs though.

United even reached the finals but lost 0-1 to Southampton. The Whites had hoped to gain promotion but didn’t foresee this conclusion to the 2023/24 season.

The 49ers are now stuck in the second tier where they’ll need to follow the EFL’s PSR. In order to be in check, the club was forced to sell many players and also send a few on loan.

The biggest loss was Crysencio Summerville to West Ham United. He was the best player in the league last season winning the Championship Player of the Season award.

Leeds United are now in search of a replacement hoping the alternative will replicate the Dutchman’s performances. One of the replacements on The 49ers’ radar was Ryant Kent

Ipswich Town has reached an agreement with Fenerbahçe for Ryant Kent in a deal worth £2.5 million according to Haber Ekspres. The Turkish media outlet has also claimed that Kent has got the green light to meet Ipswich to discuss the final proceedings.

Fenerbahçe manager José Mourinho didn’t see the Englishman in his plans for the upcoming season. Hence, the Turkish giants decided to sell the player this summer.

Ryan Kent is a Liverpool academy graduate but was never deemed good enough for the first team. He played only once for The Reds’ first team and was mostly on loan in his time at the club.

Ryan spent most of his senior career for Scottish giants Rangers making 175 appearances for them in total. After moving to Turkey, he hasn’t found much success in his Anatolian adventure.

The Englishman was deemed a replacement for Summerville by Leeds United. Currently, The 49ers are working on a deal with Jonathan Rowe.

They have also agreed to the loan terms for Jesurun Rak-Sakyi with Crystal Palace. However, Rak-Sakyi is yet to make a decision as he’s got three clubs on the table.

Beaten Leeds?? Are you talking about the 2017-18 season? Because Leeds have had no interest in Kent since then. Even the club thought they should come out and state that any links with Kent were total BS. Any crap for clickbait heh boys?

What a landmark signing for Ipswich lmao! He was never a Leeds target – certainly not for some time. The number of nonsense journos who use Leeds’s name in any transfer to give kudos to their crap signings is ridiculous. Kent has hardly set the world on fire in Turkey. Ipswich could set a new record this year for the fewest points. We hammered them twice and if we’d not had a dreadful start to last season, they’d still be in the Championship.

And a dreadful.end to the season. And a dreadful QPR match, and a dreadful playoff final. Couldn’t handle the pressure. That is all why Leeds are still in the Championship. They may not even get promoted this season.
