Premier League outfit Wolverhampton Wanderers have reportedly dropped interest in Leeds United target Jonathan Rowe. Following the sale of Crysencio Summerville to West Ham United, Daniel Farke has been searching for a new winger.
Wilfried Gnonto is on the cards to replace the Dutchman this season. There have been interest from Everton and Serie A outfits but the decision is clear regarding the Italian.
Gnonto is staying at Elland Road despite his apparent disinterest in the English second tier. However, the Italian’s stay doesn’t make the frontline secure for Daniel Farke.
There is just not enough depth up front to provide Farke with enough options. Injuries might hinder The Whites’ ability which will be detrimental for promotion this season.
Among other players, The 49ers have been following Norwich City star Jonathan Rowe. The Whites are ready to offer £7 million for the English winger’s services.
After Leeds’ interest, Premier League outfit Wolverhampton Wanderers joined the race to sign the winger. This was bad news for The 49ers as Wolves’ tier status could’ve influenced the dealings.
Wolves have more money than The Whites which is of interest to Norwich. The Canaries are reportedly ready to reject Leeds’ offer expecting a higher value for their winger.

Wolverhampton Wanderers drop interest in Jonathan Rowe
According to Talk Sport’s Alex Crook Wolves are not in the running, contrary to reports. This comes in as good news for The West Yorkshire outfit as they’ll have less competition for Jonathan.
“LUFC interest in Jonathan Rowe is real. Understand NCFC are keen to keep him so would take a very decent offer. Wolves not in the running, contrary to reports.”

He also mentions that Leeds’ interest is real indicating their seriousness. Rowe is the second-only player for whom The 49ers are ready to bid this season.
Previously, United bid for Gabriel Sara of The Canaries. However, that offer went down the drain when Turkish giants Galatasaray signed him for a reported £20 million.
Alex also mentions that Norwich City are keen on keeping the winger following high-profile departures. The Canaries won’t be interested in starting the season with all money and no players.
Norwich are looking for a good offer maybe because they’d like to replace him with a better option if he leaves. Whatever the case, £7 million doesn’t seem enough to convince The Canaries at the moment.
Wolves’ exit from the saga will be advantageous to Leeds but The Whites will have to come up with a higher offer if they are really serious regarding the winger.
