Brighton and Hove Albion’s interest in Georginio Rutter has cooled off despite their inquiry last month. The Frenchman was questioned to a lot of attention from The Seagulls in July.
Leeds United aren’t keen on losing another major player following many high-profile departures. The sale of Crysencio Summerville to West Ham United, Archie Gray to Tottenham and Glen Kamara to Rennes has put big dents in Daniel Farke’s side.
Crysencio won the Player of the Season in the EFL Championship for 2023/24. Leeds need to find a replacement for him asap if they hope to get promoted this season.
Archie Gray was one of The Whites’ best long-term assets. Following financial troubles and the allure of Premier League football, Gray left hoping to make an impact in the English top flight.
Despite staying at Leeds for only one season, Glen Kamara made a lasting impact on Daniel Farke’s side. He was one of the best midfielders last season for The Whites making huge contributions to the club.
Among the heat, Brighton showed interest in Rutter this July. There have been no official bids but The Seagulls stayed strong following the Frenchman’s situation.
Georginio arrived at Elland Road in 2023 for a fee of Ā£36million. This sets a high bar for an offer that Brighton can match given their interest and Premier League status.

The Athletic suggests that interests have cooled off at Amex. Leeds United is confident that they’ll retain the attacker this time around which will be a big sigh of relief for Daniel and co.
“Leeds remain optimistic they will keep the 22-year-old. Interest is said to have cooled in the Frenchman despite earlier attention from Brighton & Hove Albion.”

Rutter played a significant role at Leeds last season scoring seven goals in 56 league appearances. He also seemed great in The Whites’ pre-season campaign scoring and assisting in the win over Valencia.
Even if Leeds are convinced to sell the youngster, a sizeable offer is required for the Rutter’s services. The price tag on him is probably way beyond Ā£36million.
His form suggests an upcoming bigger role at Elland Road this season. The Frenchman has shown no sign of wanting an exit and will probably play a major role in the road to promotion.
The 22-year-old is said to be happy at Leeds. Daniel Farke will want him to continue this form heading into the 2024/25 campaign hoping to gain direct promotion this season.
