Leeds United fans will be disappointed with the finish to the Bournemouth game this past weekend. But for now, this run to start the season has been better than anyone could have hoped for.
The newly-promoted clubs this season have showed they are no pushovers, including the Whites. Leeds have now beaten Everton and Wolves, and held Newcastle and Bournemouth to draws.
Daniel Farke’s side have only lost twice this season – one to title contenders Arsenal, and the other to Fulham, courtesy of a late own goal. There are a lot of signs of promise for the upcoming games.

Ryan Christie mentions massive Leeds United advantage

Bournemouth defender Ryan Christie emerged from the game on Saturday with one observation. He saw that Leeds seemed to feed off the crowd and atmosphere at Elland Road, and that played a huge part in how they managed to get a result.
“The way it went, we are probably happy with a point to be honest,” he told Bournemouth’s media.
“The game went as we thought it would in terms of their physicality and in a high-energy stadium, they feed off that.
“Throughout the game there were peaks and troughs of controlling, being out of control then trying to get it back again.
“The first half we played very well and limited them to very few chances. The frustrating thing was obviously conceding from the set piece.
“The second half was a different story. They started much better than us. We struggled to get a foothold in the game but the boys coming off the bench were superb.”
Leeds sit in 11th in the Premier League, with eight points from six games so far.
Bournemouth boss impressed with Whites on Saturday
Cherries boss Andoni Iraola also mentioned how Leeds were aggressive and full of running at Elland Road this weekend. They could have won the game, with Iraola saying his side were not the best team in the game.
“Game was very physical. Calvert-Lewin winning a lot of first contacts. Physical midfield, winning second balls.
“Normally, we are good in that type of game, but Leeds have been very good in the duels and fighting for the ball. Difficult for us.
“We were hurting from the left side, when they equalised, from there until 2-1, we did not play at all.
If Leeds can keep up this kind of form at Elland Road for the rest of the season, then they stand a huge chance of survival.
