Pundit believes Leeds United will miss out on promotion

Leeds United sit in sixth place in the championship after one win in their three games so far. The Whites’ first win of the campaign came against Sheffield Wednesday last Friday. Talksport pundit Ally McCoist says he’s a “little worried” about Leeds’ chances in the league this season.

Goals from Daniel James and Brenden Aaronson were enough to secure a 2-0 win away from home in a performance Daniel Farke describes as the “best performance of the season”:

“It was definitely our best performance of the season.

“A next step forward, nearly a perfect away performance and I have to say I’m pretty, pretty pleased because today, more or less from the start, we were able to dominate this game.

“Also with our possession, as we were good in defence against West Brom, but our possession didn’t look good and we wanted to make the next step forward.

“I think we played today pretty, pretty brave and dominant against one of the best in form sides.”

Ally McCoist concerned about Leeds United transfer business

After losing key players like Crysencio Summerville, Georginio Rutter, Archie Gray and Glen Kamara over the past month, McCoist was vocal on Talksport about his concern on how Leeds United would fare this season:

“I’d be a little bit worried for Leeds United.

“They’ve lost a couple of big players and I’m not sure they’ll get the back-up needed.” he said on Wednesday’s show via MOT Leeds News.

The additions of Largie Ramazani from Almeria and Manor Solomon from Tottenham have added more bodies to the attack.

Solomon, especially is looking forward to this season after he spent most of the 2023/24 season out of favour:

“Obviously I had a really tough season last season,” Manor told LUTV.

“I had an injury that happened in the beginning of the season and then for the majority of the season, I couldn’t play football.

“But now I am fit and I’m ready to go, I’m ready to show myself again.

“I’m ready to go back to the biggest levels again and hopefully we’ll have a great season here at Leeds.

“We have one goal and everyone knows our goal, hopefully we’ll do it together.”

The Whites said to conclude more business this week

Leeds United are reportedly targeting multiple players ahead of the transfer deadline this weekend. Burnley winger Manuel Benson, Bournemouth defender Max Aarons and Sheffield United midfielder Gustavo Hamer have all been linked to the club this week.

Leeds have had a £13million bid for Hamer rejected recently, with the Blades feeling the two clubs are a few million pounds apart in their valuation.

Behave pal. Even though we have lost top class players we still have enough to win this league. And making predictions with only 3 games gone is pretty stupid. Best keep it shut and let people just think you are dumb rather than speaking and proving it
