Former Hull City striker Dean Windass has been itching all night for Leeds to land a striker.
With 23-year-old Welsh international Daniel James was snapped up earlier tonight, Leeds’ summer transfer business looks to be over.
However, Windass reckons the Whites need someone capable of providing direct cover for Patrick Bamford in case of injury to the main man.
The ex-Hull man told Football Fan Cast: “I would like to see Leeds sign a big striker or a goalscorer.
“No disrespect to Bamford, but it’ll be a tough season for him if he’s up there on his own, because he works his socks off.”
