Alan Brazil has admitted that he was wrong about his feelings towards Leeds United after they lost key players from their squad in the summer transfer window.
Leeds’ failure to beat Southampton in the playoff final at the end of last season was always going to have big ramifications on the team over the summer.
The Whites lost Crysencio Summerville, Archie Gray and Georginio Rutter from their squad in the summer as Leeds went through a churn of players in the transfer window.
Leeds were left devastated by the loss of academy product Gray to Tottenham but his sale probably helped them to remain within their PSR limits.
Their form at the start of the season was worrying but Leeds picked up form later last month and conducted some late transfer business to strengthen their squad.

Leeds are sitting fourth in the table on eight points and are being tipped to be one of the strongest contenders for automatic promotion to the Premier League this season.
New signings Manor Solomon, Largie Ramzani and Ao Tanaka have looked good since joining the club and there is real optimism about their prospects in the ongoing campaign.
Brazil conceded that he thought Leeds were going to struggle given the quality of players that left the club in the summer transfer window.
However, he admitted that he got it wrong as Leeds have managed to keep going despite the squad upheaval.
“I thought Leeds were going to struggle a bit with the players they’ve sold, but no”, Brazil said on talkSPORT (via the MOT Leeds News).
Leeds are now preparing to welcome fellow promotion contenders Burnley at Elland Road on Saturday.
The Whites are looking to build momentum through a run of results ahead of the October international break.
