Lucas Radebe says teenage forward is Leeds’ best bet to avoid relegation

Former Leeds player Lucas Radebe has said that Willy Gnonto holds Leeds’ best chance of staying in the Premier League this season.

The Italian forward has scored two goals and provided an assist in the league this season and has been Leeds’ standout performer in attack.

Radebe has huge faith in the 19-year-old to deliver this season:

“We are in a difficult position,” Radebe said. “We are hoping Javi Gracia will get us to stay up. The players are there. It’s just a matter of being ourselves – from now until the end of the season. We can’t leak a lot of goals.

“But the goals as well. We don’t seem to be scoring a lot of goals. We have Rodrigo missing and Bamford. Gnonto has been absolutely great. If we create chances, then we score goals and we have a chance,” Radebe added.

Leeds face Brighton this weekend as they continue to battle relegation in the Premier League.
