Leeds United are expected to be one of the busier Premier League clubs in the final five days of the transfer window. The club are looking to bolster their squad with a couple more signings, but the club have one eye on much-needed departures as well.

The Whites are focused on adding two more attacking players to their squad as per Daniel Farke’s needs. The manager is worried about the club’s output and creativity in the final third, and is keen to add more goals and attacking imagination to his squad before the window closes on Monday night.

However, Leeds are also accelerating several departures of players who are not part of the club’s plans. Isaac Schmidt will undergo a medical today ahead of joining Werder Bremen on loan, and Largie Ramazani has also reached Valencia ahead of completing his move to the Spanish club.

Leeds still need to resolve the future of a few more players. Patrick Bamford is still contracted to the club, and the Whites are working hard to find a new club for goalkeeper Illan Meslier in the coming days.

Rangers are pushing to sign Leeds United goalkeeper Illan Meslier

Illan Meslier has no future at Leeds, and his representatives are working hard behind the scenes to find a new club for the goalkeeper ahead of the September 1st deadline.

Lorient remain interested in their former goalkeeper, but the club are also in talks to sign Yvon Mvogo on a free transfer this summer.

According to French outlet Foot Mercato, Meslier could move north of the border before the end of the transfer window in the coming days.

Rangers have entered the fray for the Leeds goalkeeper and are interested in taking him to Glasgow before the window closes on 1st September.

New Rangers boss Russell Martin has had a terrible start at Ibrox and is keen to sign a new goalkeeper before the end of the summer transfer window.

Meslier has emerged as a top target, and the Glasgow giants are considering making an offer for the Frenchman, who is expected to leave Leeds soon.

Valencia are also in the mix for Meslier, and are looking to convince him to join his Leeds teammate Largie Ramazani at the Mestalla.

It remains to be seen whether Meslier opts to return to France or take up the challenge of playing for Rangers in Scotland in the next few days.
