Release clause for European star revealed – Leeds United could land goal machine for bargain price

Leeds United lifted the Championship this season with 100 points and 95 goals scored. But one thing is for sure, the Premier League will be a much tougher prospect.

The club will be aware of this after all three promoted sides went straight back down this season. Leicester City and Ipswich Town both had more than 80 points in the Championship, but have not even reached 30 points in the top flight.

One thing is clear heading into next season, Leeds will need some firepower. Manor Solomon will return to Spurs, and there is no indication that a deal is close at this time. The winger had 22 goal contributions in the league this campaign.

Heading into next season, Leeds look a bit light in attack. Especially up front. Joel Piroe played a huge load of the minutes at center forward this season. The striker managed 19 goals in the league. what is more worrying is that Piroe’s backups combined for just three goals. Patrick Bamford barely featured at all, while Mateo Joseph showed some promise in his first full campaign.

Daniel Farke’s search for firepower this summer has lead to links to multiple strikers. Including veteran Premier League names like Callum Wilson and Jamie Vardy.

The club’s latest target is headed for the Champions League. Dynamo Kyiv striker Vladyslav Vanat has been linked with a move to Elland Road. It has now been revealed that the 22-year old has a £16.8million release clause according to Futbol 24.

Vanat could be a bargain

Paying less than £20million for a player with 46 career league goals at 23 years old could be a valuable deal. He has also scored in the Europa league so he has quite a pedigree; Vanat is also capped at international level for Ukraine.

This move could be similar to the Raphinha and Rodrigo Moreno deals in 2020. Leeds United should take a chance on the striker, you cannot have enough firepower in the Premier League.
