Every Leeds United fan was frustrated when the club ended transfer deadline day without a signing. The team had been crying out for some reinforcements after the first few games of the season.
Daniel Farke even said the club needed some pieces in order to help them survive this season. Leeds have a problem in attack, they have only scored two goals in four games so far with just one coming from open play. It was clear that an attacking player was needed on deadline day, but the Whites failed to sign one. Leeds made a last ditch attempt to sign Harry Wilson which failed as Fulham pulled the plug.
There was a long list of targets who the club failed to get at the tail end of the summer transfer window.

Failing to sign Harry Wilson was not the biggest news of Leeds’ window; the club also missed out on other players. Leeds thought a deal for Facundo Buonanotte was closed before Chelsea hijacked the transfer. The Whites had everything in place to sign the Brighton loanee.
It has now been revealed that the club missed out on another major target in the final week of the summer window. According to TBR Football, Leeds contacted Rangers over a possible deal for Nicolas Raskin this summer. The Beglian found himself out of favour under Russell Martin and was looking for a way out.
Raskin ultimately chose to stay with the Scottish side despite his future being up in the air. After scoring for Belgium during the international break, the 24-year old ruled out any moves, adding that he wants to stay with Rangers.
“My situation at the club is complicated. I will return, work hard, and try to get playing time again.
“But it’s not just up to me. I know this is an important year, and I absolutely want to be part of this campaign with Belgium.
“Football is simply a game of ups and downs. I absolutely love Rangers. I’ve had some great moments there and have a strong bond with the fans. I always try to give my all.
“A transfer? No, that’s out of the question. I want to continue to resolve this at the club.”
