Rhinos pair Harry Newman and Rhyse Martin have been named in the Betfred Super League Team of The Week after stellar performances on Sunday against Salford Red Devils.
Classy Harry
The 22-year-old was electric on Sunday, and it is becoming the norm since he returned from injury earlier this year. He scored the first try of the afternoon in less than a minute, receiving a pass from Richie Myler who was on the end of a David Fusitu’a line break. Adding to this, he made 109 metres over the 80 minutes, as well as making three tackle busts.
Newman will be hoping to get into Shaun Wane’s England squad for the World Cup at the end of the year and he proved himself yet again against tough opposition in Tim Lafai who was one of Salford’s standouts in the game.
Majestic Martin
Rhyse Martin proved why he is Leeds’ most valuable player with a 22-point haul on Sunday that included two tries and seven goals.
The PNG international is currently in the form of his life and it has shown with him converting all of his last 23 conversion attempts and missing just four of his last forty attempts.
Martin was due to be out of contract at the end of the year, but fans were very relieved when it was announced he signed a two-year contract until the end of 2024.
