According to journalist Phil Hay, Robin Koch will sign a contract extension with Leeds United soon.
Pascal Struijk and Diego Llorente have already renewed their deals at Elland Road, and a new deal for Koch is next on Leeds’ list. Hay revealed that tying key first team defenders to new deals has been priority for the club:
“Pascal Struijk agreed new terms last week, Diego Llorente followed suit a few days later and an extension for Robin Koch is in the pipeline, waiting to be formalised,”
“It gives the club the services of Struijk until 2027, Llorente until 2026 and Liam Cooper until 2024, with Koch likely to sign up next.”
Koch arrived in 2020, and was signed by Marcelo Bielsa. He has made 53 appearances since then, often struggling due to injuries and fitness issues. The German struggled to play 25 games in all competitions over the last year, but Jesse Marsch has kept faith; Koch has started 15 games for Leeds this season.
