Leeds United could get their early start to the season back on track against Burnley this weekend. The Whites went into the international break with a narrow loss to Spurs.
Daniel Farke’s side picked up just one point in their last two games, and they could have got maximum points if the players finished off their chances. Leeds have performed above expectations so far; sitting in 15th place in the league with eight points from seven games. They sit above some established teams like West Ham and Wolves.

Former Manchester United midfielder Roy Keane has been speaking about the Ryder Cup controversy recently. Some American fans were hostile towards the European competitors including the British golfers. Keane then compared to the hostility at Anfield or Elland Road, speaking on ”The Rest is Football” podcast:
“I’m no expert on golf, but you are telling me these players were under pressure because a few people were shouting? Come to Leeds or Anfield on a Tuesday night, let me tell you.
“These guys play in big tournaments every week, so all of a sudden they are going to be upset by a few Yanks?
“You’ve got [Rory] McIlroy. He’s won all the big prizes. Do you think he’s going to be upset by a few people? It’s ridiculous. They knew it was coming. It’s been built up for the last six months. Of course they knew they were going to get abused.”
Elland Road has been a huge factor for Leeds United this season
Leeds have had some solid performances in front of their home crowd this season. The Whites got a shock defeat over Everton in their first game of the season. Daniel Farke’s side also held Newcastle to a goalless draw.
Fans were frustrated in their last two home games – a draw with Bournemouth and a narrow loss to Spurs. The Leeds boss mentioned after those two results that maybe ‘luck’ will shine their way in upcoming games. The Whites’ next home game is up against West Ham near the end of the month.
