Of course the Elland Road crowd played a huge part in promotion this year. The Whites won over half of their total points tally at their home ground.
Despite the fanbase and atmosphere, some are not in agreement that the Elland Road crowd is one of the best in the country. Former Leeds boss Sam Allardyce made a bold claim as he left out Leeds United fans on his list of the best crowds he has experienced as a coach.
“The most passionate fans? Oof, I’d say all fans are passionate.” he said to TAG Sports.
“But Newcastle, Everton, West Ham. Because they’ve got the biggest support.
“So, when you’ve got the bigger support. they’ve got the biggest or loudest support.
“I mean, I managed West Ham at Wembley in the play-off final against Blackpool and there must have been 65,000 West Ham fans and only about 20,000 Blackpool fans.”
Leeds are back in the Premier League
Rival fans and pundits can scream and criticize the club all they like, Leeds are back in the top flight. Elland Road will see Premier League football again. Life is great as a Leeds United fan. Hopefully Daniel Farke and the team can pull off the impossible next season.
