Leeds United signed 10 new players during the summer transfer window. The club knew they had to add quality and depth if they wanted to stand a chance in the Premier League.
And so far, some of the new signings have showed their quality early in the season. Gabriel Gudmundsson has settled in nicely, after many expected Leeds to struggle to find a new left back.
Anton Stach and Sean Longstaff, two players Daniel Farke pushed to sign, have arguably been the two best players at the club at this point of the campaign.

During the international break, Leeds midfielder Sean Longstaff had a sit down with BBC Radio Leeds‘ Adam Pope. They discussed how the move to Elland Road came about, and what has been happening this season.
Pope asked: “I know you’ve talked about how much of a wrench it was to leave Newcastle, but Leeds weren’t the only side interested in you.
“Was the decision quite difficult to decide where to go?”
Longstaff replied: “Yeah, it was. It was always going to take a lot to leave Newcastle.
“Without diving too deep into it, there were lots of factors going into the decision. I want to play as much football as possible.
“I looked at the different options, I liked the look of Leeds, knew Karl, and he had nothing but good things to say. When it came down to it, it was between Leeds and staying. I made the decision to leave.”
Midfielder has given Leeds a different dimension this season
Daniel Farke has carved a role for Longstaff in this team. Ao Tanaka began the season, but now the former Newcastle midfielder is the main starter. Longstaff provides dynamism in the middle of the park – his defensive abilities have been key this season. He ranks near the top of the league for duels won and possessions won, which means he hassles opponents all over the pitch.
Longstaff’s dead balls have also been a serious weapon so far; he had a goal and assist in the Bournemouth game. So far he has proven to be a solid addition by the club.
