Serious injury worry ahead of Leeds United vs Stoke City game – Player ruled out for the rest of the season

Monday will be a very important game for Leeds United at Elland Road. The result could see the club return to the Premier League for the first time since 2022.

Daniel Farke has done a great job to guide the club back to the top after the events of last season. When Leeds lost the playoff final, that summer was an unpleasant one for fans. Many players left the club as they looked to play top level football, leaving Leeds to rebuild this year.

Despite all this, Farke has built a formidable core of players, and they are one step away from achieving Premier League promotion.

With Burnley facing Sheffield United on Monday, the result will impact the promotion race. Anything other than a win for the Blades guarantees promotion for the Whites.

Leeds face Stoke City on Monday, and the visitors have a long list of injury problems. Mark Robins could be without up to six first team players for the visit to Elland Road. Leeds United on the other hand will welcome back Dan James, who returned to the squad on Friday. Manor Solomon has also been cleared to play on Monday.

Stoke City star Jordan Thompson has announced that he will miss the rest of the season due to injury:

“Massive win and top team. Proud of the boys and the support has been brilliant. Gutted to pick up an injury that rules me out for the rest of the season. Not the way I wanted it to end, but that’s football. Time to back the lads for the final three, let’s finish strong!” he wrote on his social media page
