Leeds United have had a difficult run of games for the past few weeks. Since returning from the international break, the Whites have gone up against Fulham, Wolves and Bournemouth.

Each game came with a huge obstacle for the club to overcome. Daniel Farke’s side lost to Fulham in the dying minutes of the game. It sparked a fire in the club for the next few fixtures. Leeds bounced back with a huge win over Wolverhampton Wanderers away from home. The Whites managed to pick up their first away win, and scored three goals in one game for the first time.

Leeds continued the run of form as they were able to hold a very tough Bournemouth side to a draw at Elland Road. Up next will be Thomas Frank’s Tottenham side, who are early contenders for the league title.

The Premier League have officially confirmed the referees for the game against Spurs at Elland Road. Tom Bramall will be the main referee, taking charge of his fourth game this season. Ian Hussin and Andrew Dallison will be the assistants, and Rob Jones will be the fourth official while Jarred Gillett will be on VAR.

Bramall is averaging 3.33 yellow cards this season and 23.33 fouls per game. Spurs will be coming into the game off the back of two poor results – dropping points to Wolves, and drawing 2-2 with Bodo/Glimt in the Champions League in midweek.

There could be a serious issue with the appointments as Jarred Gillet was involved in a huge controversy last Sunday, after he overturned a penalty in the Newcastle-Arsenal game.

Daniel Farke will be hoping refereeing will be better than Bournemouth game

Leeds will be hoping that there will be no major controversies in the game this weekend. Unlike last week, when Daniel Farke was furious about what happpened during Bournemouth’s first goal. The Leeds boss believed it was not a free kick, but it was still awarded, and Antoine Semenyo scored from it.

“I think we would have deserved to not have the free-kick given, probably the softest free-kick given this weekend,” Farke said.

“It’s not a foul for me at Premier League level. We probably would have won without this free-kick conceded.”

The Whites have eight points from six games so far, and will be hoping for a result against a very difficult Tottenham side at Elland Road.
