Leeds United have several big decisions to make in the final weeks of the transfer window. The Whites are looking to bring in more new signings for their attack before the window closes on 1st September. However, they have a few key decisions to make regarding certain players.

The Whites have a deal in place to sign former Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin on a free transfer this summer. The forward will soon sign a contract with Leeds once he successfully passes a medical.

Leeds are in the market for players, and are expected to try and sign another striker, an attacking midfielder and a winger before the end of the window. Daniel Farke is pushing to add real quality to his forward line to give his side a better chance of survival in the Premier League next season.

However, Leeds also have a few decisions to make on certain players in the squad who are still in Farke’s plans but could see their game time getting reduced next season as the club look to add more quality to the team in the coming days.

Can you name these 10 former Leeds United midfielders?

Leeds United are not expected to sell Brenden Aaronson

Brenden Aaronson was a massive part of the Leeds team that won the Championship last season, despite all the criticism of his performances.

However, there are question marks over his physicality and whether he has what it takes to handle the Premier League’s intensity next season.

Leeds are looking to sign an attacking midfielder, and are pushing hard to sign Leicester City’s Bilal El Khannouss in the ongoing transfer window.

However, Graeme Bailey insisted that Aaronson is happy at Leeds and the club are not looking to sell him before the end of the transfer window.

He stressed that even if Leeds sign more attacking midfielders, Aaronson will stay to add more squad depth.

“Brenden Aaronson has had a good pre-season. There was talk he would look for a return to the Bundesliga, but that did not come to pass, and he is happy at Elland Road”, Bailey told Leeds United News.

“To be fair, Daniel Farke hasn’t really tried to move him. Leeds really want squad depth, so even if we saw late moves for Manor Solomon and Emi Buendia or more, that doesn’t mean Aaronson would leave.

“Far from it.”

Aaronson will not be a starter at Leeds if they sign an attacking midfielder

Farke loves the United States international because of his work ethic and his willingness to cover every blade of grass on the pitch for the team.

However, question marks remain whether he is good enough to play in the Premier League, and he was indeed woeful the last time he was in the top tier.

Leeds have been looking to add an attacking midfielder all summer ,and any new signing will be seen as an upgrade on Aaronson.

If the Whites bring in a player in the coming days, Aaronson will likely drop out of the starting eleven and become a squad option.

I support the club fella, that’s why I’m unhappy we have been sold out by the yank owners with loads of money who don’t want to spend it. Admittedly I can be a bit negative, I’ll give it a rest, but I can’t help but feel we are being skanked yet again.
