Patrick Bamford and his future at Leeds United is the latest news in and around the club.
The 31-year old has only made six appearances in the Championship this season as the concerns about his fitness and injury issues continue to grow.
Leeds lost Georginio Rutter this summer, so Joel Piroe has carried the attack for most of the campaign. Brenden Aaronson, who was out of favour early in his Leeds career, has now become a key piece of Daniel Farke’s side.
There are serious question marks about Leeds United’s squad depth as they aim to win promotion to the Premier League. Injuries to Ethan Ampadu and Illia Gruev have left the club short in midfield for most of season. Because of that, the club signed Josuha Guilavogui on a free transfer, and are looking at a potential loan move for a former player in January.

Key player to make a decision on his future at Leeds United
Patrick Bamford has been the center of news around the club in recent weeks. His cameo at the end of the Millwall game in particular was a talking point. The striker’s body language at full time did not look encouraging. Some reports claimed he was “frustrated” with his role at the club.
David Norris has now come out to report that Patrick Bamford is comfortable at Leeds United and could even stay beyond this season:
“The lack of game time you would think would make him make move to get away or be a bit publicly ambitious, but he seems happy enough at Leeds.
“We’ll see what happens in the next few weeks as we approach January, but if nothing materialises I would assume he’s happy with what he’s earning and he’ll be mindful of what he’s likely to earn after he’s gone.”
Bamford remaining at Leeds is very important. When he regains his fitness, Daniel Farke will have a valuable option off the bench in close games.
Great news that Patrick Bamford wants to remain at the club
Contrary to recent reports, Bamford has only been a good influence at the club and is seen as a key figure. The forward has never spoken badly about the club and has only helped the team.
Last season, despite battling injuries, he was key as he scored eight goals in the league mainly being a substitute. His is also a leader at the club; Bamford is one of the longest serving players at the club, having been at Leeds since 2018.
