Leeds United are in the market for attacking signings before the end of the transfer window next week. Daniel Farke is pushing the club to enhance his options in the final third as the club look to provide the final touches to their summer transfer business.
The Whites have bolstered their squad with 10 new signings in the current transfer window, spending just over £100m in total. James Justin became their 10th addition on Monday, joining from Leicester City for £10m. His arrival strengthens Leeds’ defensive options and adds valuable depth to the backline.
Farke is satisfied with the players Leeds have signed for their defence and midfield, and the Leeds manager is now seeking to add more goals and creativity to their squad before the end of the window.
They have their eyes on Brighton’s Facundo Buonanotte in the final days of the window, but their hopes of signing a top long-term target have been revived this week.
Can you name these 10 former Leeds United midfielders?

Leeds held talks with Bilal El Khannouss’ representatives earlier in the window and were one of his first suitors to offer him a concrete contract to leave Leicester.
His release clause expired in the middle of this month, and while Leeds remained interested in him, he seemed to be on his way to Crystal Palace.
El Khannouss had agreed on personal terms with the Eagles and had been patiently waiting for the two clubs to work out an agreement over a fee.
However, according to Sky Sports News, the negotiations between Palace and Leicester have broken down, and the proposed deal has collapsed.
Leicester have hiked their asking price and now want £35m from his sale before the September 1st transfer deadline.
Palace have walked away from the talks and are actively seeking to sign other alternatives.
Leeds have an opening to sign El Khannouss late in the window, but it remains to be seen whether they are prepared to meet Palace’s new asking price for the midfielder.
El Khannouss has been Leeds’ top target
The Leicester attacking midfielder has been Leeds’ top target. His ability to play as a number 10 as well in the wide areas is exactly what Farke wants.
Leeds were prepared to pay his release clause and all the associated costs to sign him earlier in the window, as they felt he would raise the technical floor of the team.
Since then, Leeds have signed Noah Okafor, but it is clear, El Khannouss is a player the recruitment team are big admirers of.
Leeds will now have to assess whether the club are prepared to invest big money on a player they have wanted all summer, this late in the window.
Sheffield Wednesday beat Leeds tonight – good or bad for Leeds? Fewer games to distract from the league matches. If they deliberately threw the game for survival reasons – ok with me. However if this represents the team that keeps us up —- sack the 49s
