Sky Sport pundit believes Gracia should start forward vs Leicester

Sky sports pundit Clint Morrison says he does not understand why Wilfried Gnonto remains on the bench.

Gnonto has played a total of just 53 minutes since Gracia arrived at Elland Road. Most of the absence has been due to injury as the 19-year-old picked up an ankle injury with Italy during the international break. He missed the game Arsenal at the start of April, and has only made three appearances since then.

Morrison believes that the forward should be a starter especially as Leeds have been struggling to score recently. Gnonto provided an assist in his last start against Wolves last month.

“You know what surprises me with Leeds, Gnonto,” said Morrison. “We talk about how exceptional he has been. He (Javi Gracia) doesn’t play him. He is a winger that wants to take players on.

“Beforehand, under the older manager, he was starting week in and week out. Leeds fans were excited with him.”

The Whites face Leicester City on Tuesday night before taking on Bournemouth this weekend.
