Leeds dominated the second half and had eight shots, forcing the keeper to make saves but in the end could not get the result. Daniel Farke’s men remain in third place on the Championship, but have slipped four points behind league leaders Sunderland.
Farke was missing a few key players for Wednesday night including Joe Gelhardt, who failed a late fitness test.

Sky Sports pundit thinks Leeds United star is frustrated
In the dying minutes of the game, Daniel Farke brought on Patrick Bamford to try and get a result. The striker was ended the game without a shot on target, but did create one chance.
Bamford’s body language on the pitch summed up Leeds’ night. Gary Rowett believes the striker is frustrated at the club:
“He’s hardly played, I bet he’s utterly frustrated at the moment at Leeds. He’s got five or six players ahead of him,”
Bamford’s cameo on Wednesday night was only his sixth game of the season for Leeds.
Daniel Farke sees Patrick Bamford as a key piece of the squad
Patrick Bamford is one of the most experienced players at Leeds United. He is also one of the longest serving players in the squad.
At 31-years old and coming off the back of recent injuries, the striker is not as good as he used to be. But he can still contribute in games off the bench, and has been a good influence on Leeds’ young players.
Daniel Farke defended Bamford in Monday’s press conference when asked about the striker’s form:
“My appreciation for Patrick and how important he is will never go away, he is a crucial player, he is already a Leeds legend but we also have to take into account the reality,”
“But I am sure he will be important for us this season and no one has to be concerned about his mental state. He is much too smart to be struggling,”
If Bamford does leave in January, this former Liverpool forward could be the ideal replacement.
