Spanish giants Real Madrid targeting Leeds forward

According to reports in Spain, Real Madrid are eyeing Rodrigo Moreno as a backup option next season.

Spanish outlet COPE, Leeds forward Rodrigo is on Real Madrid’s shortlist for strikers this summer. The report claims that the Madrid giants are looking for two backup options after the departure of Karim Benzema and Mariano Diaz.

Rodrigo’s name has been mentioned alongside Joselu, as the Spanish giants retool their attack ahead of next season. COPE claims a fee of around €3.5 million would be enough to bring the striker back to his home country.

With multiple Leeds players departing this summer, and the relegation wage clauses, the striker may decide to leave as he is one of the highest paid at Elland Road.

Rodrigo scored 13 goals in just 23 starts last season, showing up in Leeds biggest matches. His contract is up in 2024, and the club has a decision to make concerning his future.
