Stuart Dallas makes huge Leeds ‘unbeaten’ claim – Leeds United cannot slip-up

Leeds United have stumbled in the automatic promotion chase and are now battling to remain in the top two in the remaining seven games of the season. The Yorkshire giants are in desperate need of three points ahead of facing Luton Town at Kenilworth Road on Saturday. However, Leeds promotion hero Stuart Dallas has made a big claim about the team.

Daniel Farke and the Leeds United players are under pressure after winning just one of their last five Championship games. The Whites need something to spark soon to save their automatic promotion hopes.

The Leeds boss has been asked to change a few players in the team for the Luton Town game, but it remains to be seen whether he sticks or twists.

However, Dallas has come out strongly in support of the Leeds team and is insistent that they just need to find a way to win games, even if it requires them to be a bit nasty and rough.

Ex-Leeds United star makes big claim for the rest of the season

With just one win in five, Leeds have looked jaded and uninspiring in recent games, and they are now under real pressure to turn things around soon.

However, Dallas insisted the Whites can still go unbeaten for the rest of the season and earn automatic promotion to the Premier League in May.

He stressed Leeds should not shy away from being nasty if needed to get a win at Kenilworth Road against Luton this weekend.

The former winger urged the senior players in the Leeds squad to step up and help the young players handle the pressure at the business end of the season.

“They know they’ve got to a point now, they’re more than capable of going unbeaten the rest of the season”, Dallas told the Yorkshire Evening Post.

“Obviously, the pressures of playing for this club are huge, but the good thing is that they’ve given themselves enough of a gap to have this blip. They’ve had one win in five, so now it’s a clean slate.

“They’ve got to go into these next two games, two away games, and whether it takes a lucky winner at Luton just to get the 12.30 pm thing off their back, or just a bit of nastiness and a bit of know-how to win games, a bit of experience – they can’t let the season slip past now.

“They’ve got to really take it to teams because everybody wants them to fail, and that brings its own pressure. So the more experienced players have got to step up, and I don’t mean that in a bad way, I just mean they’ve got to really rally around the younger players and help push them on.”

Leeds need some inspiration on Saturday

The Whites are a better team than any of their next seven opponents and have proven that over the course of the ongoing season. However, being the better team is not good enough to get results at this stage of the campaign.

Farke needs to get his head out of the sand and make the necessary changes to the starting eleven at Kenilworth Road to jolt the team back to life.

However, Leeds need a spark and something to go for them early at Luton to get the team going again at the business end of the season.

A Joel Piroe goal or a Manor Solomon turn of pace could spark the team back to life and push Leeds towards securing automatic promotion to the Premier League.
