Leeds United are already making moves in the transfer window even before promotion to the Premier League is secured. The Whites are keen to bring in several first-team signings in the next window, but the club are also mindful of snapping up emerging young talents.
Daniel Farke and Leeds United are focused on preparing for the Championship’s run-in as they push towards booking their ticket for next season’s Premier League.
However, the recruitment team have gone to work to identify potential targets and the club are also eyeing bringing in some players, who are not dependent on the club getting promoted.
The 49ers are keen to bring in young talents to Leeds who have a high ceiling and could develop into stars at Elland Road, or could be sold for a major profit in the coming years.
And it seems Leeds are closing in on their first signing of the summer.
Tottenham defender set to move to Leeds United
Calum Logan, an 18-year-old left-back, joined Tottenham from Ipswich Town in 2023 and signed his first professional contract with Spurs in January last year.
The defender has been a regular for Spurs in the Under-18 Premier League this season and is considered a bright young prospect at the north London club.
However, it appears he cannot set a pathway to the first team at Tottenham and is keen to move on to get a better crack at playing senior football.
According to LUFC Youth’s Twitter account, Leeds have taken Logan in for a trial where he will be looking to impress the youth coaches at Thorp Arch.
Given his performances for the Tottenham Under-18s, there is a decent chance Leeds will offer him a contract to join their academy this summer.
The Whites would still have to agree on a fee with Tottenham before the move could be completed in the coming months.
Leeds want to bolster their academy talents
Leeds supporters will have their eyes on who the club will be bringing for the first team next summer if they get promoted to the Premier League.
However, it’s paramount Leeds keep looking for young talents as it could end up saving them a lot of money in the future if they have youngsters coming through.
Can you name these past and present Leeds United players?
Logan has impressed at the Under-18 level, and there is more than a decent chance Leeds will end up offering him a contract to join the club.
He will likely link up with the Under-18 and Under-21 squads before any decision is taken on his ability to fast-track into the first team set-up in the future.
The 18-year-old will likely become the first summer signing of the club if everything goes according to plan.

i notice in lead up to the write up it states that leeds are looking for future stars or re selling to profit in future, i have always thought that Leeds sold many a star players purely for profit rather what was best for the team even as far back as don revie and until the present days but maybe finance comes first
