Leeds United learn relegation prediction – this is how they compares to rivals Burnley and Sunderland

Leeds United goals

Being a newly promoted team in the Premier League is difficult, but Leeds United have had a positive start to the campaign. Last season’s newly promoted trio recorded one of the lowest ever points totals combined.

But this year, Sunderland and Leeds look to be the likeliest to escape relegation. The Whites have gained eight points from seven games so far, getting big results off the likes of Everton, Newcastle and Bournemouth.

Leeds did a lot of work in the transfer window, spending £100million to recruit the best of talents around Europe. Daniel Farke got major signings in with the likes of Anton Stach, Sean Longstaff, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Noah Okafor all making their way to Elland Road. Some have had a great impact on the team like Longstaff, while others are yet to feature much, like Jaka Bijol.

Leeds currently sit above five clubs in the table at this point in the season. Brentford, Nottingham Forest, Burnley, Wolves and West Ham. It is too early to tell, but it looks like these teams will likely be involved in the relegation battle.

The Athletic have conducted a survey with agents on which clubs they believe could be relegated this season. 20 agents voted for which team they predict could go down at the end of the campaign. Leeds were one of the candidates named, alongside Fulham, West Ham United, Nottingham Forest, Brentford, Wolverhampton Wanderers.

How do Leeds compare to Burnley and Sunderland

Leeds United have eight points so far, with Burnley only having four points with Sunderland leading the trio with 11 points. The Black Cats have had some good results – beating West Ham, Brentford and Forest. Leeds have also claimed some big wins against Everton and Wolves. Burnley only have one win, against Sunderland.

DataMB ranks Leeds as the best attack among the three sides, while Sunderland is the best defence. Daniel Farke’s side are also rated as the best possession side among the three, showing the style the German wants to play. So out of the trio, Leeds and Sunderland are the best. But to survive the Premier League, Daniel Farke’s side need to find their scoring boots – they fail to convert chances, which has cost them points in the last few games.
