Leeds fell at the hands of Liverpool on Sunday evening as the reds dispatched them comfortably 3-0 with goals from Salah, Fabinho and Mane.
Many Leeds fans were panicking after the game, worrying that they were falling victims to the dreaded second season syndrome. However, Leeds United owner Andrea Radrizzani sees no cause for concern.
“We have plenty of time to go back to where we were last year.” Said Radrizzani. “The club is going in the right direction. The plan is to play…on European nights.”
Many Leeds fans will respond by saying the club is a long way off from playing in Europe and they may have a point.
Leeds currently sit in 17th place in the league, although they could fall into the bottom 3 if Burnley can get a result against Everton tonight. Leeds have 2 draws and 2 defeats this season, but it is worth pointing out that they have played the likes of Manchester United, Liverpool and Everton already.
Leeds will take on Newcastle this Friday and if they face defeat once again, serious questions will be raised of where exactly Leeds will finish this season.
