The real reason Leeds United target will be sold has been revealed – West Ham star reportedly lacks key trait

Sheffield United handed Leeds United promotion after their loss to Burnley last Monday. The Whites are officially returning to the Premier League again.

With two games left in the Championship season, Leeds could still win the league. The focus over the past week has been about the transfers the club should make this summer. Daniel Farke and the recruitment team have already started work to see how to shape their squad for Premier League football.

Looking at the recent reports, it looks like two key areas of the team will be addressed. The club is expected to be in the market for a new keeper after what happened between Daniel Farke and Illan Meslier in the aftermath of the Swansea game. The Frenchman is now expected to leave Elland Road this summer.

A recent report linked the Whites with Ipswich Town striker George Hirst, which has raised questions about Joel Piroe’s future. The striker has netted 19 league goals in the Championship this season, but it looks like there are doubts over his ability heading into the Premier League.

Daniel Farke and Leeds are still interested in signing West Ham midfielder Tomas Soucek. Over the past few weeks, the links to the 30-year old have grown. Soucek is not expected to be with the London club this summer, with reports that Graham Potter is not a fan of his style. The Times have also added that there are concerns among the technical team that Soucek does not have the required energy levels to be a regular starter. This news will surely raise concerns among potential buyers this summer, including Leeds United.

Tomas Soucek is said to be available for around £10 million to £15 million. Everton boss David Moyes is also keen on signing the midfielder.

Tomas Soucek concern is nonsense

Tomas Soucek is a fine Premier League player, and will be a key contributor for any clubs that get him. Any claims about his energy levels are just not true.

At 30 years old his duel numbers this season have been exceptional. It clearly shows a player who is still active between both boxes. Soucek still wins the ball, on the ground and in the air at a high rate. He is also almost never injured and contributes a lot of goals. Bringing him to Elland Road should be a no brainer.
