“There are still no total agreements” – Crysencio Summerville to West Ham might suffer a late twist

Crysencio Summerville

Sky Sports Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg confirms the completion of Crysencio Summerville medicals but he also warns that the deal might suffer a late blow as there are still few details yet to be agreed upon.

At the start of the week, Leeds and West Ham agreed upon a transfer for Dutch ace Crysencio Summerville. The transfer includes a £25 million upfront fee and an additional £9 million in add-ons. It seemed like a done deal but reporter Florian Plettenberg has reported otherwise.

The German reporter claims that there are a few discrepancies on all three sides. The Dutchman is yet to decide on a contract length ranging from four to five years. One of the main points of the transfer, the fee is also yet to be agreed upon by both clubs.

Although the medical is done and dusted, sometimes transfer deals fall apart due to the slightest of disagreements even if they look like done deals. Summerville completed his medicals on Thursday in London and was expected to link up with his new teammates in the US for the pre-season but the plan might need to take a backseat for now.

Although things seem to be going south for now, the transfer is probably set to be completed in the upcoming days. Tensions tend to arise now and then during transfers.

Leeds are in the market with only two singings and now probably their best player is on the path to The Prem. Summerville won the EFL Championship Player of the Season award with his hands in 31 goals last season which leaves a significant gap to fill for The Whites.

Leeds’ priority targets include Norwich City’s Gabriel Sara, Birmingham City’s Jordan James and FC Köln’s Dejan Ljubičić. Gabriel Sara will come at a hefty price of £20 million which will use up a major chunk of Leed’s transfer budget. The Whites had a lowball £5 million offer rejected for the Norwich playmaker recently.

Jordan James is also on the radar with one year left on his contract with Birmingham City. The Blues need to cash him out this year if the Welsh midfielder refuses to extend. Farke’s side had another offer rejected for Dejan Ljubičić who is also said to be on the priority list.
