It will be a tough game between two sides who desperately need a win to snap out of their current form. English football pundit Paul Merson thinks that Wolves have the upper hand in Saturday’s game:
“Leeds were very unlucky against Fulham. That terrible own goal at the end hurt them so much. What I will say is that they can’t keep playing for draws in away games, like they did at Fulham.
“Sometimes, you have to take a chance and try to get a result. Leeds will believe this is a winnable game. They will be thinking, ‘If we want to stay up, this is a team that we must beat’.
“Wolves will have too much for them in my opinion though. A win and a clean sheet for the hosts at Molineux.”
Wolves boss is eyeing first points of the season
Wolves boss Vitor Pereira spoke after the Newcastle game, where his side narrowly lost. But he believes his team can start putting points on the board, with Leeds up next:
“This is the time to be together, not to complain, because I’m very proud. I believe that we can increase the level of the team if we have time to work with the team, if we had time to work on the pitch, we can increase the level.
“The first week we will have time to be together and to work together on the pitch, it will be the next week for the first time in this season. What I saw this game was tactically, mentally, a team with energy, with spirit, with belief in themselves, and this is for me is the way to increase our level and to start to getting points.”
