Leeds United have made a solid start to life back in the Premier League. Their performances and the competitiveness have convinced many observers that the Whites are good bets to survive in the top flight at the end of the ongoing season.
With eight points from their opening six Premier League games, Leeds are looking like a team who are here to stay in the Premier League, and have shown real resilience against solid established teams in the top flight at the start of the season.
Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola was taken aback by Leeds’ physicality at Elland Road last weekend, and admitted that they were a level above his team in their 2-2 draw.
Pundits, who predicted Leeds to go down this season, are also coming around, and they are now being considered safe bets to stay up in the Premier League this season.
Leeds United have an identity that will keep them up – Troy Deeney

Troy Deeney has already admitted that he was wrong about Daniel Farke being wrong for Leeds in the Premier League, and he is now coming around on the team as well.
He insisted that Leeds have a clear identity, big, strong and physical, which will stand them in good stead in the Premier League this season.
The former striker also likes Leeds’ pragmatism, and conceded that a team only need to win ten games to ensure that they stay up in the top flight.
“I think it’s about having an identity very, very quickly. I was concerned for Leeds at the start, if I’m being 100 % honest, but I think they’ve had a clear recruitment strategy”, Deeney told talkSPORT.
“Big, strong, powerful players, and they’re going to be physical, which I think you need.
“You have to be pragmatic as well as a group and say, you know, the top six, they’re luxury games. They’re not our games to win.
“If you can get four points off the teams around you, then that’s great. If you nick six, then you’re off to the races, but the big thing is ten wins.”
There are more than three teams that are worse than Leeds
Leeds and the other promoted teams’ performances have exposed some of the established teams that have been meandering in recent seasons.
Wolves are the worst team in the Premier League, and West Ham seemed to be on a free fall under Graham Potter, who was replaced by Nuno Espirito Santo last weekend
Manchester United and Aston Villa have made poor starts to the season, and Leeds are a problem for some of the established sides this season.
With a good run of games ahead of them, Leeds could go a long way towards consolidating their position in the table in the coming weeks.
