Three Leeds Rhinos players who could return to Rohan Smith’s squad this week

Rohan Smith’s squad looked a lot stronger last week and it could look even stronger this week as the Rhinos gear up for a massive game against fellow play-off rivals Salford Red Devils.

Both teams are in red hot form as they chase a spot in the top six and it makes for a must win game especially for Leeds who sit one point behind the Red Devils.

Needing a win then, who can Rohan Smith rely on giving him a welcome boost this week with his 21-man squad named tomorrow.

Blake Austin

Last week Rohan Smith revealed that Blake Austin as well as Aidan Sezer had been training. However, only Sezer was fit enough to return though this week Blake Austin may be able to return to the squad and lend a helping hand.

He may figure in the 21-man squad but it’ll be interesting to see whether he can force his way back into a winning side.

Zane Tetevano

It’s one in and one out in terms of suspensions. Matt Prior picked up a two game ban for his red card against Catalans but Zane Tetevano is back from his own five-match suspension.

It’s a timely return as it will ameliorate the loss of Prior and give the Rhinos another senior forward which is something they need.

Tom Briscoe

This is my stab in the dark. A few weeks ago, Rohan Smith confirmed that Briscoe had suffered a few setbacks but now a few more weeks down the line surely Tom Briscoe must be nearing a return.

He may not be conversely he may have played his last game for Leeds as his contract comes to an end. Time will tell.
