Liverpool FC will be without three of their Brazilian stars for their away clash at Leeds United.
The Times has stated that Premier League clubs will lose out to the Brazilian football federation over the release of players for international duty in red-list countries.
As previously reported, Brazil is on the United Kingdom’s “red list” for Covid-19, meaning people entering the UK from Brazil are deemed high-risk, and will have to serve a period of quarantine upon entering the country.
But, the Brazilian football federation has taken exception and contacted FIFA, calling for a five-day rule on the nine Brazil players at six Premier League clubs.
That would mean that they cannot play in club matches for five days after the end of the international break.
Liverpool, therefore in accordance with these rules, will almost certainly be without Alisson, and Fabinho for Leeds, whilst Roberto Firmino is injured.
