One of the best ways of adding squad depth in modern football is the use of loan signings. The addition of a temporary star can often be a welcome boost to a squad and contribute the necessary added spark that a team needs to move onto the next level. With that in mind, today we’re looking at three players Leeds should look to bring in on loan.
Dan James
The Welsh winger has pace to burn and an eye for goal. He could provide superb depth on the wings for Leeds United. In his Swansea days, a move to Leeds looked like done deal. Although that transfer went south, James could very well still endear himself to the Elland Road faithful if he can emulate the on-loan performances of Jack Harrison who made a similar move to Leeds from the other side of Manchester.
Curtis Jones
Jones has plenty of potential and great versatility. He can play in the centre of the park as well as on the wing addressing two areas of concern for the Whites. Back in 2020, he made headlines with an exquisite goal against Everton in the FA Cup demonstrating his brilliance in attack which has also been seen in the Premier League and Champions League.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek
For whatever reason, Ruben Loftus-Cheek always finds himself out on loan and it stands to reason that the same fate could befall him this summer. Leeds could benefit from his presence in the squad thanks to his ability to score and create goals whilst offering an extra body in midfield whether in a central position or out wide.
