In the early days of the transfer window, Leeds United were making positive waves. The signing of Junior Firpo was a must whilst the addition of Kristoffer Klaesson was a smart bit of business. But since then, things have slowed down. Most believe Leeds still need a central midfielder and a winger. That said, it appears that the club have been working behind the scenes in recent weeks to recruit in those areas. Now they are surely ready to pounce? With that in mind, we’re looking at three players Leeds could sign this week.
Lewis O’Brien
Leeds have had a registered interest in the Huddersfield Town midfielder for some time and reports suggest that they could be ready to secure his services for around £10 million. O’Brien is said to be keen on the move himself and he would most definitely provide crucial depth in the midfield. Leeds want O’Brien and O’Brien wants Leeds, surely this is one that can be secured in the coming days.
Adolfo Gaich
This one could also happen sooner rather than later with striker Gaich left out of CSKA Moscow’s squad for their clash with Dinamo Moscow. This comes after a reported bid from the Whites for the 22-year-old. He would add some much needed competition up front for Patrick Bamford and is definitely one for the future too with plenty of years ahead of him.
Arnaut Danjuma
This one might be a little more far fetched but there seems to be a definite interest from Leeds United where the Bournemouth winger is concerned. In last year’s Championship, Danjuma impressed with 17 goals and seven assists in just 35 appearances and is on the radar of a number of Premier League clubs, including Leeds themselves.
