Tottenham have changed their stance on Manor Solomon – major Leeds United transfer update

Over the last few years, Leeds United has been the club that players come to turn their career around. And when they manage to do it, the Elland Road faithful fall in love with them.

Ethan Ampadu is a big example of this. The former Chelsea man had spent years of his career bouncing on loan across Europe. When Leeds finalized a move for him, no one knew what to expect. But from the moment he put on the white jersey, everyone saw his quality. Ampadu is now one of the pillars of the team, and has become part of the leadership in the squad.

This is the same path Manor Solomon took. The Spurs star was injured and missed a chunk of last year. His career in London had not gotten off to a good start. Daniel Farke managed to convince him to come to Elland Road, and his career has taken off again.

Solomon managed 10 goals and 12 assists in the Championship this season. The most important one coming on the last day of the season, as he won the title for the Whites. He has made it clear that he would like to join Leeds in the future, but it seems Spurs changed their plans.

According to Graeme Bailey, seeing Solomon perform in the championship had Tottenham considering bringing him back to the first team. But now, Daniel Levy has changed his mind, and is open to a sale:

“Leeds want to bring him back, no massive surprise. Tottenham had considered bringing him back but they’ve moved on from that. He represents pure profit for them, there is a bit of interest around Europe.” Bailey told Leeds United news.

“He’s really enjoyed his time at Leeds, loved the area and I would be surprised if he isn’t back at Leeds next season,”

Marseille and other European clubs are expected to be in the race to sign the winger.

Solomon will be the best decision Leeds make this summer

A player with Premier League experience, who just had 22 direct goal involvements will cost a premium in this market. Lucky enough, reports claim that Spurs will listen to offers from 15 to 20million. With the expected transfer budget, this fee will not be too much for Leeds to afford. The club need to get the deal done quickly.
