Leeds United had a great season in the Championship – hitting 100 points, lifting the league title and booking a place in the Premier League. Daniel Farke guided the team back to the top flight after just two seasons in charge.
The Leeds boss played a huge part in the success this season. According to reports, Farke was instrumental in bringing Ao Tanaka and Manor Solomon to the club. The duo played a big part in the campaign. Tanaka was voted Leeds Players’ player of the year and Solomon was arguably the best attacker in the team this season.
The Spurs loanee wrote his name in the history books as he scored a 91st minute winner on the final day against Plymouth to secure the league title.

Solomon said that the reason he joined the club was because of Daniel Farke. The German convinced the 25-year old to come to West Yorkshire.
Since the season ended, there have been reports that Leeds are eager to sign Solomon. Tottenham changed their stance on selling the player, and are now open to deal. This week, French side Marseille have joined the race for the 25-year old. The Ligue 1 side have began talks with the player’s camp after Roberto De Zerbi gave the greenlight.
Now, the latest report from a source at Tottenham Hotspur News has revealed that Manor Solomon is not fully convinced over a move back to West Yorkshire. Spurs reportedly want £20million for the player, while Leeds feel £15million is enough to seal the deal.
Marseille interest has scuppered the deal
Going from being happy and eager to move back to Leeds, then now being not fully convinced is a big problem. It means the interest from Marseille has confused Solomon. The prospect of Champions League football next season will definitely trump fighting relegation in the Premier League.
Daniel Farke and the recruitment team need to focus on other targets.
