Tottenham Hotspur loanee Manor Solomon is already dealing with multiple injuries as Leeds United manager Daniel Farke provided an update on the player.
Solomon missed last weekend’s contest against Cardiff City as the Whites secured a 2-0 win. The 25-year-old suffered a back injury that prevented him from playing in this matchup, but now his label of being injury-prone is surfacing.
Just last season, the 25-year-old missed 33 games due to a meniscus injury. In the 2022-23 campaign, he was out for 17 matches after knee surgery. Although his current issues aren’t related to his back, once a player gets the “injury-prone” label, it’s hard to shake.
Daniel Farke provides injury update on Manor Solomon
Many would assume that Solomon, after missing last weekend’s game, would be good to go for this upcoming clash against Coventry City. However, that won’t be the case.
According to manager Daniel Farke, the Israel international has suffered another setback in getting back on the pitch. Nonetheless, the German tactician is hopeful to have the player before the October international break.
“Sadly we have a few injury updates and also some problems this week,” Farke told the media at his press conference (h/t The Yorkshire Evening Post). “Manor Solomon is out for this game. Had some back problems, has resulted in problem with his hamstring. Hope to have him back for the last game before the international break, perhaps for Norwich.”
Moreover, Farke noted other injury updates on players that are all likely out for this weekend’s contest.
“Dan James is still out,” Farke added. “If he’s available in one of the games before it will be a bonus but I expect him back after int’l break. Wober will also miss this game, there was a setback in training last week on Friday. That was the reason he wasn’t in the matchday squad. Ongoing problems with his knee.
“Our medical department tries everything to make sure we find a solution in a conservative way. Pascal Struijk struggling a bit with his adductors, Junior Firpo a few problems, was back in training today after missing earlier this week. Bamford missed a training session yesterday after he got a hit but was back on the training pitch today.”
