Leeds United outperformed several established Premier League clubs last season as they finished 14th in the final standings, in their first season back in the top flight.
West Ham were relegated after a 14-year stay, and Tottenham finished just above the relegation zone for the second season running as the Whites exposed some of the more established Premier League teams.
However, the work is cut out for Leeds this summer as Tottenham’s moves in the market have already signalled that they do not want to be anywhere near the relegation zone next season.
Spurs are also pushing to sell a few of their fringe stars in the upcoming transfer window, and former Leeds winger Manor Solomon is almost certain to leave in the coming months.
Tottenham set to move on Manor Solomon
Leeds were heavily linked with a move for Manor Solomon last summer after he played a major role in getting them promoted to the Premier League during his loan stint at Elland Road.
However, the Whites never made a move for him and instead signed Noah Okafor, who has turned out to be a solid signing for the Whites.
Tottenham loaned Solomon out to Villarreal. However, he struggled to settle in Spain and joined Fiorentina on another loan deal in the winter window.
He struggled for form at both his loan clubs last season and is set to return to Tottenham for pre-season training this summer.
His agent recently claimed that he wants Solomon to stay at Tottenham next season, but that does not seem to be a viable option.
Roberto De Zerbi would take a look at him, but it is almost certain that Spurs will look to move him on in the upcoming transfer window.
They would likely push for a permanent sale rather than another loan move, as it is certain Solomon does not have a future in north London.
Tottenham may accept a cut-price fee to ensure that they get the Israeli winger off their books in the upcoming window.
A return to Leeds is unlikely
Solomon had a brilliant spell at Leeds, where he scored important goals and provided assists in their historic promotion-winning campaign in the 2024/25 season.
He was linked with a return to Elland Road all summer last year. However, Leeds never made a concrete move to sign him from Tottenham.

Daniel Farke felt that he needed better quality and opted to sign Noah Okafor from AC Milan. His success last season suggests that the Leeds boss got his call right.
Solomon struggled at Villarreal and Fiorentina, and it is unlikely that Leeds will even consider going back to him in the upcoming window.
Leeds also do not need traditional wingers anymore because of the change in formation, and reuning with the Israeli is no longer viable.
Not good enough.
