Last Saturday will definitely be a day to remember for Leeds United fans. They took a big step towards Premier League promotion.
The Whites earned a hard fought win over Preston to go five points above Sheffield United who lost their game on Saturday. Daniel Farke’s side have their destiny in their own hands, as they are pretty much guaranteed automatic promotion.
With four games to go, all Leeds need to do is avoid defeat and hope other results go their way to seal promotion. The club will also rival Burnley for the league title which is still up for grabs.

Leeds already have an eye on the transfer market heading into the summer. With the difficulties they faced with the squad during the last summer window, it is a good sign that recruitment has started early.
The club will focus on adding depth and quality as they prepare for Premier League football. Claret and Hugh have reported that Leeds are keen on West Ham midfielder Tomas Soucek. Daniel Farke is reportedly a big fan of the 30-year old, and will push to try and sign him this summer.
An insider revealed the Whites’ transfer plans involving Soucek:
“Leeds are planning for next season — Daniel Farke has already started preparations for the summer window. He likes Souček, but there’s already a Premier League offer in for him. I think Leeds like Ferguson too, and he’d get games there.”
Tomas Soucek would give the midfield an edge
The West Ham midfield would be invaluable at Premier League level. With his frame and physicality, he would make it difficult for opponents in midfield. Leeds are perfectly suited for him, he is an ideal partner for Ethan Ampadu and/or Illia Gruev.

Soucek’s biggest weapon is that he is a major attacking threat. He often makes bursting runs into the box during attacks and is a major threat in the air. He generates a lot of shots inside the penalty box, and most of them have come from headers this season.
For Premier League survival, you need any edge you can get. That is what makes signing midfielders like Tomas Soucek a huge priority.
