Leeds United fans are still not happy with how the transfer window ended over a month ago. After expectations of big name signings arriving near the transfer deadline, they were disappointed as no player arrived.
Leeds ended up with Dominic Calvert-Lewin on a free transfer and Noah Okafor joining from AC Milan. Even though the duo have had some impact in the first team, it has become clearer in recent weeks that the Whites need more if they are to survive relegation.
Daniel Farke’s side have been edged out of games because their attacking players could not finish their chances.

Dan Plumley does not think Leeds United will spend in January

And it does not look like there is hope for any change when the January transfer window comes around. Football finance expert Dan Plumley believes it is very unlikely that Leeds splash any cash in the winter.
“I think we probably need to focus on the regulatory process, rather than breaking even or profit,” he told MOT Leeds News.
“It’s probably been taken out of context slightly, but if you look at profit and sustainability regulations, which we know are the key factor of what you can spend, I think that’s where you look at the outlay in the summer, and that was significant.
“They have spent against those regulations already, and you wouldn’t, therefore, expect a huge spend in January as a result.”
“I would focus more on regulation, of course, a lot will depend on where they are in the table come that window, becuase that can also force clubs into snap decisions that they wouldn’t necessarily plan for.
“I think there is a fair comment that they have invested significantly in the summer and therefore, it’s unlikely they will spend big in January.”
Expert summary backs Leeds Chief’s words last month
Plumley’s words are similar to what Leeds Managing Director Robbie Evans said to local media when he sat down to discuss the summer window. Evans explained that the 49ers had maxed out PSR, making it very likely that there will be no business in January, just like earlier this year in the Championship.
