It’s no secret that Marcelo Bielsa thinks highly of his squad, as he has consistently shown incredible loyalty to those he trusts.
The most recent player to receive a gushing of praise was star winger Raphinha, following his incredible start to the season. The Brazilian has already scored 3 goals this season, which prompted Bielsa to acknowledge his efforts.
“It’s not common for a flair player to work like that. A player that stands out.” Bielsa began. “Due to standing out he does not demand privileges. All the opposite takes more obligations. That’s why he’s valued so much by all of us due to his humility and his capacity of effort. Not common when accompanied with that talent.”
Bielsa admires that Raphinha doesn’t use his immense talent as an excuse to work less, but instead as an obligation to do more. This is something that doesn’t come along often with superstars, so Bielsa is impressed with this attribute of Raphinha’s.
